Greetings From The Big Island

Have been doing tons of stuff since our arrival on Tuesday evening. We are just hours from leaving this partticular condo we’ve been staying in since we got here and heading to the Hilo side of the island. Since I am not sure of the internet access at our next stop, I thought I would post a couple of pics and video to tide the blog over for a bit.

Here I am pondering a Hawaiian checkers-like game at The City of Refuge in Kona.

Here’s a little out of the way private beach we found down the road from Hapuna. Good snorkling by the rocks too!

Here’s a kid walking along the harbor wall with the outrigger on the water.

Lastly, if you have the patience, here is myself almost getting swept away by a tidal rush. (This was incredibly stupid and quite dangerous – especially, not half an hour earlier my Mom had warned me about this very thing happening over the phone…)
