Your Facebook Status Can Change Healthcare

Because we all know that Facebook activism should be taken with the utmost seriousness, some were more than rightly offended when their Facebook status of:

“No one should die because they cannot afford health care, and no one should go broke because they get sick. If you agree, please post this as your status for the rest of the day.”

Was co-opted and changed to:

“No one should be sober because they cannot afford beer, and no one should go broke because they like drinking. If you agree, please post this as your status for the rest of the day”

Or even better:

“No one should be frozen in carbonite, or be slowly digested for a thousand years in the bowels of a sarlaac, just because they couldn’t pay Jabba the Hut what they owe him. If you agree, post this as your status for the rest of the day.”

This needs to stop people. These are serious issues and must be handled with the utmost seri-osity.

Remember, like Michael Jackson said, if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at your Facebook status and make that change.
